The unique design of the Blow Ceiling Fan was created by the artistic and creative mind of Ferdi Giardini. Manufactured by Luceplan, founded almost 30 years ago by three Italian architects; Riccardo Sarfatti, Sandra Saveri, and Paolo Rizzatto. Luceplan originally manufactured custom lighting primarily for industrial and commercial use, but soon realized that their unique designs appealed to the residential homeowner, and in 1981 began manufacturing for the residential market. It is from this, creative and open minded approach, that sculptor Ferdi Giardini applied his trade and skill to develop the Blow Ceiling Fan.

Protected by an industrial patent, the Blow Ceiling Fan offers a unique lighting experience by having the light located above the blades. Transparent or multi-colored methacrylate blades let the lighting pass through the spinning blades to create a mixture of color and motion. Both the light and fan are operated by a three speed infra-red ray remote control which is included with the ceiling fan. Also included is an operating switch that can be used to reverse the blade rotation, providing maximum comfort in a variety of environments.

The motor is exceptionally quite, producing only 32DB. The aluminum motor is mounted on ball-bearings inside an opaline polycarbonate bearing case, resulting in an evenly balanced, and wobble free ceiling fan. Lighting is provided by a 150W A-21 medium base incandescent light bulb. In most cases the ceiling fan can be installed by using the existing electrical system. The Blow Ceiling Fan has a blade span of 55” and measures 16” from the ceiling to the bottom of the blades.

The Blow Ceiling Fan has a recommended retail price of $1,000.00 but many retailers offer a discount, bringing the price down between $500-$600 US. Providing possible the most unique lighting experience of light and motion, it is definitely worth considering if your décor is modern contemporary
