Ceiling Fan Remote Control

A ceiling fan remote control can offer you many more features than you would otherwise have with just a standard pull chain. In addition to the added convenience a remote control device can also be programmed to control your homes security system. Many leading manufacturers such as Hunter and Casablanca offer a wide range of ceiling fan remote control with an equally wide range of features and prices.

Some ceiling fans come bundled with wireless remote control systems to allow you to adjust the fans operation. Controlling the speed of the fan blades is typical but if the ceiling fan remote is so equipped you can also control the lighting from simple on and off to fully adjustable light levels. Further features can include various forward and reverse speeds, up to six each way and sensors that adjust the fan speed as the temperature changes. The ceiling fan remote control can be wall mounted or it can come as a hand held device. Hand held remotes can operate up to 30 feet away.

In addition to wireless remote control systems there are also hard wired systems. The ceiling fan wire is run to a wall mount control panel from which you operate the fan. Many of the same features on a wireless remote are also found on wired systems such as variable speed and direction, full lighting level adjustment and temperature control.
